A wonderful sight in my garden in Springtime - the perennial ferns arise from their beds and slowly unfurl into long fronds. Ferns are quite abundant in the rainforests of the West Coast of Canada and Pacific Northwest. And often find a place in shady spots in gardens. This image is one of two taken in Spring 2014. An artistic texture has been applied to the photograph.
